Drumming in DELAWARE, U.S.A.:  1999

In April 1999, Dombrovski briefly returned to Wilmington, DELAWARE, U.S.A.; spent time in New York City, NEW YORK, U.S.A., in May 1999; was in TARGET STUDIOS in MARYLAND, U.S.A., cutting the drum track for vocalist/instrumentalist Mario Padovani's "It Would Be So Easy" in June 1999; spent more time with Padovani in TARGET STUDIOS in July 1999; and returned home to Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., near the end of July 1999, where Dombrovski has been ever since.

DOMBROVSKI:  Like I said earlier, I had a lucrative consulting position back in Wilmington, DELAWARE, U.S.A., from April 1997 through April 1998.  When I returned to Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., in September 1998, I was a little TOO generous with certain associates, so when a couple of business opportunities didn't come through in time, I ended up with a serious cash flow problem.  I had some tax refund cash come my way in April 1999, so I returned to DELAWARE to seek shelter with the sympathetic who knew me well and cut my losses.

DOMBROVSKI:  While I was living in DELAWARE, I visited New York City, NEW YORK, U.S.A.  I would take a GREYHOUND bus from Wilmington, DELAWARE, to New York City.  It's about a two-and-a-half hour ride one-way.  New York City is cool.  I liked being there and contrasting New York City with Los Angeles.

DOMBROVSKI:  Yeah, Mario Padovani was back in TARGET STUDIOS cutting a song entitled "It Would Be So Easy" in May 1999.  I was there at the studio several times just observing the proceedings.  Mario liked to use me as an outside ear, and he respected my musical opinion.  I played and recorded real drums to the tune "It Would Be So Easy" on June 8, 1999.  I was in the studio a couple more times after that with Mario.  I was glad Mario was still doing his music.  I was happy to help.

DOMBROVSKI:  While I was in DELAWARE, U.S.A., some cash owed to me came my way and with that money I left Wilmington, DELAWARE, on July 22, 1999, to return to Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A.  Most everything I owned was already in storage in Los Angeles, so I wasn't leaving with a lot of cargo.  I traveled coast to coast in my truck.

DOMBROVSKI:  I arrived in Los Angeles on July 26, 1999.  I've lived here ever since.  I've spent most of my time educating myself about the contractual problems affecting me, which I discovered in March 1998.  Like I said, I know music, not the law.  It's very easy signing your rights away, but it's not so easy getting them back.  It takes time.
