CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., Becomes Home: 1998
By August 1998, Dombrovski was on his way back to Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., arriving and permanently domiciling in CALIFORNIA in September 1998. Dombrovski spent September 1998 through March 1999 jamming on drums with several Los Angeles groups and continuing to resolve with counsel the contractual problems Dombrovski discovered earlier in March 1998.
DOMBROVSKI: With NOVUS PRODUCTIONS completely behind me, I returned to Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., on September 4, 1998, and I made it home. As I said earlier, I made certain deals I couldn't just walk away from, and I had to uphold my end of the bargain. I was obligated, and I felt those obligations were a cloud over my head I didn't want to bring into any long-term musical projects with others, so I just jammed with bands.
DOMBROVSKI: Music was pretty much on the back burner. When I do music, I make music a priority, but I couldn't afford to make music a priority because I needed to focus on resolving my contractual problems. Being in Los Angeles in proximity to counsel made that process way more convenient, plus effective and timely; however, I always planned on eventually living in Los Angeles after I first arrived in January 1992, anyway. In Los Angeles everyone's a star, so it's like being in Heaven all the time, and no, I don't have any spare change.
